Do I Need A Dog Behaviourist ?
It's the wish of every owner to have a well behaved dog.
One who doesn't become aggressive towards other animals, who doesn't think your favourite chair is actually his and who doesn't see the
postman as public enemy number one.
Like humans, dogs have their little quirks and oddities, but it's when these are beginning to impact on your life that it's time to remind him that you are in charge - you are the pack leader !
And that's where I come in. Using positive, humane and reward based training methods, (not treats), I will help your dog become an enjoyable, well-behaved companion for life.
Very occasionally I see dogs who have deep rooted psychological problems but more often than not I see dogs that need me to show their owners
how to understand them.
Why does your dog do those funny things ?
- Digging up plants
- Chewing and destroying things
- Jumping up to greet people
- Anxiety and fear
- Anti-social behaviour
- Mouthing and biting the owners
- Not respecting and listening to the owners
- Bad toilet habits
- Excessive barking
- Begging for food
- Pulling on the lead
- Aggression
- Running off
- Over protection of territory

Because the problems you're having to suffer are happening either in your home or closeby, I come to your house to meet you and your dog and to see exactly what is happening. And from there I'll start to correct his habits while at the same time explaning clearly to you what I would like you to do to ensure he never slides back into his old ways !
I work on helping dog owners build better relationships with their dogs. My aim is to make owners understand their dogs better and help them understand why their dog behaves and acts the way he does.
Once you understand your dog and how he relates himself to a multitude of situations, you'll have developed a more meaningful and balanced relationship with him.
